NEOEA Day. Employees shall be given the opportunity to participate in NEOEA-sponsored workshops on NEOEA Day by providing their Supervisor with the appropriate documentation and leave sheet. In addition, employees shall be given the choice to participate in any in-services offered by the ACBDD, off-site visitation approved by their supervisor, or work at their worksite. No mandatory trainings shall be scheduled on NEOEA Day by the Board.
NEOEA Day. Employees have the option of working or attending a workshop on NEOEA Day. If a workshop is for less than the employee’s regular work day, the employee is required to return to their regular work site following the conclusion of the program. The workshop shall be approved at least two (2) weeks in advance by the Superintendent/designee. When applying for the workshop, the employee must submit a written description of the program, including its location and start and end times, and how it applies to their work responsibilities. The employee will receive his/her regular hourly rate of pay for time spent at the workshop.
NEOEA Day. The Board agrees to permit all employees to attend out-of-district workshops held on NEOEA Day subject to the following conditions:
1. The workshop must be related to the performance of duties of the employee’s position.
2. The specific workshop must be approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee prior to the employee’s attendance at a workshop.
3. The employee will receive his/her regular rate of pay for the duration of the workshop, not to exceed the employee’s regularly scheduled hours. With prior approval, the employee may be permitted to attend a workshop that lasts longer than their regularly scheduled hours.
4. The employee agrees to present documentation to the Superintendent or his/her designee confirming their attendance at the workshop.
NEOEA Day. All bargaining unit members except those contracted for two hundred and sixty one (261) days and the Eight (8) Month Groundskeeper will be scheduled off on NEOEA day and shall not be paid for the day.
NEOEA Day. School will not be scheduled on NEOEA Day, and it will be a day off for members which will not be counted in fulfillment of the 185-day member attendance requirement set forth in Section 2.1 of this Article.
NEOEA Day. All certificated/licensed staff members may participate in NEOEA activities, this day shall be a scheduled non-work day.
NEOEA Day. NEOEA Day will be a day when school will not be in session and will not be included in the official school calendar, unless mutually agreed to by both PCTA and the Board.
NEOEA Day. The day on which NEOEA meets shall not be considered a part of the required working days set by the Board of Education and will not be one of the days upon which the employee’s salary is based.
NEOEA Day. Two (2) full-time (260 day) employees may attend OAPSE workshops scheduled for this day. Attendance will be confirmed by conference receipts submitted to the Superintendent.
NEOEA Day. On NEOEA Day, bus drivers and mechanics will attend the required safety training to maintain their CDL’s. Other employees will be permitted to
a) attend Board approved training sessions or programs,
b) perform their work duties, or
c) taken an approved leave.
