Common use of Judgment of the Fire Chief Clause in Contracts

Judgment of the Fire Chief. Any additional criteria as to seniority shall be at the judgment of the Fire Chief. 1. Employees on authorized leave of absence shall not be considered a break in service for determining length of seniority, except that time not on the job shall be deducted; notwithstanding that military leave of absence, from the District, shall not be deducted from total seniority. 2. When an employee terminates and is re-employed within two (2) years of said employee’s termination date, the employee shall retain credit for prior service. When the period of absence exceeds two (2) years, no credit for prior service will be given for the purpose of establishing seniority.
