Killed During Performance of Duties. If an employee is killed while performing his authorized, assigned job duties, his surviving spouse, or secondarily, the estate, shall be paid for one hundred percent (100%) of the value of the employee's accrued but unused sick leave, at the straight time rate in effect at the time of death.
