LATE REFUSALS. In the event that a bus driver has been assigned to a field trip and, after the afternoon deadline , the driver refuses to take the trip, the driver’s name will be removed from the field trip list after three (3) such refusals. The only approved refusals are for illness or emergency situations that have been approved by the Director of Transportation; such approved refusals will not count towards removal from the lists. This paragraph applies only to scheduled field trips and does not include refusals required due to overtime.
