Lateral Transfer Announcement of Lieutenant Positions. A. Whenever an opening occurs for any lieutenant position the Department shall announce the opening of the position for lateral transfer. Included in the announcement will be minimum qualifications required to hold the open position. The open position shall be published in the Daily Bulletin a minimum of five (5) calendar days prior to a closing date. All employees meeting the minimum requirements may submit a resume through the chain of command, along with a request for consideration for the position.
