SHOPS AT FL & SBSITE IN SECTOR 24-B, (PHASE-Il.KDA SCHEME-33, GULZAR-E-HIJRI, KARACHI 156. PO Karachi briefed that in Phase-I of the Housing scheme for FGEHF at Scheme-33, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Karachi, two plots each measuring 200' x 250' were reserved for flats as FL and commercial site as S8 (sector 24-8). It was further informed that Apartment Scheme at Karachi for low paid Federal Government Employees was announced on pt May, 2007 planned on these plots. 157. PO Karachi briefed the participants that originally the project was planned as G+4 with the provision of 278 Apartments for Govt. Servants. (100 C- Type, 118 O-Type & 60 E-Type). The scheme was approved in 88th meeting and was launched in Feb. 2007. All 278 apartments were booked to Federal Government Employees. Subsequently on the instruction of Ministry of Housing & works the project was re-planned with G+7 (Package-I) and G+8 (Package-II) increasing the total number of apartments from 278 to 400. In addition, on S8 Plot there are 37 o Nos. of shops of varying sizes have constructed and these shops are ready to sold out. The total area of these shops is about 9400 Sq.ft. "., 158. It was informed that remaining 122 apartments (28 C-type, 84 0-Type and 10 E-Type) were proposed to be sold to General Public at the rate of RS.3.5Million, RS.2.9 Million and RS.2.2 Million subsequently for C, 0 and E type. These additional apartments were advertised in 2010 but only 4 Nos. of applications were received which later on returned back.
