Level One - Informal Resolution Clause Samples
Level One - Informal Resolution. The purpose of this procedure is to secure, at the lowest possible administrative level, equitable adjustments to grievances. Both parties agree that these proceedings shall be kept as informal and confidential as is possible. The bargaining unit member shall first discuss his/her grievance with his/her immediate supervisor. There shall be an attempt to resolve the problem informally prior to the filing of a grievance. Such resolution shall not conflict with any provision of this Agreement, further; the adjustment shall be made with the Association President or designee present.
Level One - Informal Resolution. The grievant shall first discuss the grievance with his/her immediate supervisor within eight (8) working days of when he/she knew, or should have known, of the circumstances which form the basis for the grievance. Both parties shall seek to resolve the matter informally. Beginning with Level One, the grievant and the administrators shall have the right to be accompanied by a representative of their choice. If a grievant is not represented by the Association, the District shall simultaneously provide a copy of the decisions beyond Level One to the Association President.
Level One - Informal Resolution. The aggrieved person shall present the complaint/grievance and relief sought, in writing, to the Association grievance officer. After discussion of said complaint, the aggrieved person and/or the grievance officer shall attempt to resolve the complaint informally.
