License and Certifications. 18.7.1 The County shall reimburse or otherwise pay the cost of licenses or certifications which are required to maintain employment in the current classification or required to qualify for promotion to the next level in an alternately staffed job family. This shall include cases where new requirements are established. A department may also elect to reimburse an employee where possession of the license or certificate is not a legal requirement but its possession is of direct benefit and value to the department in the employee’s current position/classification.
