LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION. 25.1 The Employer will continue its current practices related to licensure and certification or comply with 25.2, 25.3 and 25.4, below, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.

25.2 Employees will notify their appointing authority or designee if their work-related license and/or certification has expired, or has been restricted, revoked or suspended within twenty-four (24) hours of expiration, restriction, revocation or suspension, or prior to their next scheduled shift, whichever occurs first.

10.1 Employees are expected to update and maintain any license and/or certification that is required as part of the minimum qualifications for their position. Such requirement will be waived if the certification and/or license is not required to be maintained after date of hire. When the position requires any specialized license, including a driver’s license, the employee shall be responsible for the cost of the license and/or certification and for all renewal costs.
10.2 When the Employer requires a new license and/or certification, the Employer will reimburse the employee for the initial cost of the new license and/or certification. Thereafter, the employee shall be responsible for maintaining the license and/or certification. The Employer will reimburse the employee for the renewal costs of licenses and/or certifications not required as a condition of employment upon appointment.
10.3 Employees will notify their Appointing Authority or designee if the license and/or certification has expired, or has been restricted, revoked or suspended, within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge of the expiration or prior to their next scheduled shift, whichever occurs first.
10.4 Employees for whom a license and/or certification is required and for whom that license or certification has expired or been restricted, revoked or suspended may be placed on leave without pay, in accordance with Article 18, Leave Without Pay, until the license and/or certification is renewed or restored, whichever comes first and/or disciplined (up to and including termination) in accordance with Article 30, Discipline.

8.1 Nurses are expected to update and maintain any license and/or certification that are required as part of the minimum qualifications for their position. When the position requires any specialized license, including a driver’s license, the nurse shall be responsible for the cost of the license and/or certification and for all renewal costs.
8.2 When the Employer requires a new license and/or certification, the Employer will reimburse the nurse for the initial cost of the new license and/or certification. Thereafter, the nurse shall be responsible for maintaining the license and/or certification and for all renewal costs.
8.3 Nurses will notify their appointing authority or designee if their license and/or certification has been restricted, revoked or suspended, within twenty-four (24) hours of the restriction, revocation or suspension, or prior to their next scheduled shift, whichever occurs first.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION. 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the necessity for bargaining unit employees to maintain appropriate licensure and/or certification to perform the duties of their assigned position.
9.2 Agencies will follow their policies and/or practices related to licensure and certification.
9.3 Employees will notify their Appointing Authority or designee if their work- related license and/or certification has expired, or has been restricted, revoked or suspended within twenty-four (24) hours of expiration, restriction, revocation or suspension, or prior to their next scheduled shift, whichever occurs first.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION. 23.1 If the Employer requires an employee to obtain a license or certification after hire, or maintain a license or certification as a requirement of the employee’s positions, the Employer will pay the cost of obtaining and/or maintaining that license or certification. For commercial driver’s licenses required by law, the Employer will pay for the employee’s legally required physical examination every two years. In order for the Employer to cover the cost of the legally required physical examination the employee will give the Employer one (1) week prior notice of the physical examination to facilitate payment. The employee will be financially responsible for any follow up examinations based on the initial visit. At its election, the Employer may pay the costs for employees to obtain and/or maintain a license or certification where that licensure/certification is requested by the employee and fills a business purpose for the Employer.
23.2 Employees will notify their appointing authority or designee if their work-related license and/or certification has expired, or has been restricted, revoked or suspended within twenty-four (24) hours of expiration, restriction, revocation or suspension, or prior to their next scheduled shift, whichever occurs first.

25.4 If the possession of a valid driver license and operating a motor vehicle is an essential function for the employee’s position, the employee will, prior to their next scheduled shift, notify their supervisor of any driving citations involving controlled substances or alcohol.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION. A. If applicable, Provider shall maintain required licensure, certification, and/or accreditation during the term of this contract and provide evidence of such to Purchaser upon execution of this contract. If Provider fails to provide this to Purchaser, sanctions in Section XI. Withholding will apply.
B. Provider shall immediately notify Purchaser of any changes or threatened changes to its Medicaid certification/licensure or other certification or accreditation.
