Common use of Life Insurance/Death Benefits Clause in Contracts

Life Insurance/Death Benefits. The District shall underwrite the cost of group life insurance for all appointed employees. The policies shall provide the payment of $25,000 to the employee's designated beneficiaries or the employee's estate if the employee should die while in the active service of the District. The estate of a teacher who dies during the term of this Agreement shall receive terminal pay calculated on the same basis as if he/she had retired.
