Certification Bonus. Each nursing unit will identify and publicize at least 25 one preferred, not required, advanced certification. There will be no payment for 26 multiple certifications or re-certifications. 28 RNs with certification(s) as described above will receive $1.251.00 per hour 29 certification differential (regular status and Code 3 RNs eligible). (To be increased to 30 $1.25/hr July 2016.)

Certification Bonus. (a) Full-time and part-time staff nurses who hold a relevant and approved certification (as currently exists on the Magnet recognized list of specialty Certifications) will be paid a certification allowance of $1,500 per year, paid once per year, paid to each employee on the schedule set forth in the Certification Policy. This increase in the certification bonus will be effective on July 1, 2017, the same date as the changes in the RN Excellence Guidelines provided for in Section 25.06
(b) Einstein will pay for an eligible staff nurse to take a required certification exam twice, but a nurse who fails such an exam on the first attempt will be put on a review and retesting plan prior to the second attempt. The review and retesting plan may include additional education which, if required by Einstein, will be paid for by Einstein.
(c) Einstein will pay for a successfully- passed, non-required certification exam.
Certification Bonus. (a) Full-time staff nurses and advance practice nurses who have successfully completed their probationary period may be paid a certification allowance of $2,000 per year (paid out at $1,000 every June and December), upon certification/re-certification in a clinical specialty. The specialty certification must be germane to the nurse’s assigned area of practice and be on the list set forth in Appendix B. To qualify for the allowance, the nurse must provide proof of successful completion of certification requirements. An allowance shall be limited to certification in one area. If a new certification is added to a job as a requirement after the date of this agreement, the Association and TFPP will Meet to Discuss the addition of such certification to Appendix B.
(b) TFPP will pay the fee charged to take examinations for certification as approved by Human Resources.
(c) TFPP will pay for the cost of obtaining a DEA license when required.
Certification Bonus. Effective upon ratification of this agreement.
i. The Employer will pay advanced certification recognition bonus to eligible bargaining unit employees in certain job classifications who obtain a certification as a Certified Access Healthcare Associate from the National Association of Healthcare Access Management.
ii. Certifications must be directly related to the area in which the employee regularly works in order to be eligible for recognition bonus compensation. Determination of whether the certification is sufficiently related to the employee’s regular work assignment will be made by the Employer. Certifications that are a minimum requirement of the job as established by the Employer or are required by law or regulation are not eligible for bonus consideration.
iii. Certification Recognition Bonuses will be paid to eligible employees as follows:
(a) Initial Certification (the first time an employee has acquired the certification while an eligible employee at the employer): The initial Certification Recognition Bonus is five hundred dollars ($500).
(b) Re-certification (renewal of existing certification while an eligible employee at the employer): The Re-Certification Recognition Bonus is two hundred fifty dollars ($250).
(c) Initial Re-certification (where prior certification has lapsed and certifying agency certifies that conditions for certification have now been satisfied while an eligible employee at the employer): The initial Re-Certification Bonus is one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125).
iv. Certification Recognition Bonuses and application for reimbursement are deemed approved and payable upon receipt of the completed Certification Recognition Bonus Form including a copy of the following items as appropriate:
(a) Certification Certificate
(b) Certification exam results
(c) Dated letter from certifying agency asserting that conditions for continuing certification have been satisfied.
(d) Copy of the cancelled check submitted for the application fee or a receipt.
(e) Other evidence deemed necessary by the Employer.
v. Certification Recognition Bonuses are paid when all conditions are met, and are not prorated or extended. Employees must complete and submit the necessary documentation within sixty (60) days of qualifying event (certification or re-certification). Employees must be actively employed on the date the Recognition Bonus is paid, and not be in a notice period in order to receive the bonus.

Certification Bonus. The Hospital will pay an annual certification bonus of 23 five-hundred dollars ($500) to any full-time nurse and three hundred and thirty dollars 24 ($330) to any part-time nurse who obtains and maintains one (1) of the following 25 nationally-recognized certifications which shall be paid on the anniversary date of each 26 eligible nurse. The certification and recertification bonus shall be available for only one (1) 27 of the following certifications: 28 29 COB – Certified OB 30 CCRN – Critical Care Registered Nurse
Certification Bonus. Full-time and Part-time Registered Nurses may apply for a one-time bonus of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) upon the successful certification by a recognized nursing specialty organization. Certificated Registered Nurses may apply for a bonus of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) upon the successful renewal of his/her certification.
Certification Bonus. (a) Full-time part-time staff that have successfully completed their probationary period may be paid a certification allowance of one thousand ($1,000.00) per year (five hundred dollars [$500.00] paid on December 1 and June 1), upon certification/recertification in a clinical specialty. The specialty certification must be germane to the staff member’s assigned area of practice and be on the list set forth in Appendix F. To qualify for the allowance, the staff member must provide proof of successful completion of certification requirements. An allowance shall be limited to certification in one area. In order to receive payment, appropriate documentation of certification and/or recertification must be submitted to the Department Director or designee.
(b) Temple will pay the fee charged to take examinations for certification as approved by the Department Director or designee. The payments for the certification bonuses shall cap at twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per year. Where certifications are currently a determining factor for placement on the wage scale, such certifications shall not be eligible for a certification bonus. Only one bonus will be paid to an eligible employee, even if that employee has more than one certification. No bonus will be paid for any certification that is required for the position.
Certification Bonus. Part-time staff nurses who have successfully completed their probationary period may be paid a pro-rated certification allowance of one- thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year (five-hundred [$500.00] paid on December 1 and June 1), upon certification/re-certification in a clinical specialty. The specialty certification must be germane to the nurse’s assigned area of practice and be on the list set forth in Appendix B. To qualify for the allowance, the nurse must provide proof of successful completion of certification requirements. An allowance shall be limited to certification in one area. If a new certification is add to a job as a requirement after the date of this agreement, the Union and Temple will meet to discuss the addition of such certification to Appendix B. In order to receive payment, appropriate documentation of certification and/or recertification must be submitted to the Department Director.
(b) Temple will pay the fee charged to take examinations for certification as approved by Nursing Administration.
(c) Temple will pay for the cost of obtaining a DEA license when required.
