Limited FFI defined. A limited FFI is a member of an expanded affiliated group that includes one or more par- ticipating FFIs that agrees to the con- ditions described in paragraph (e)(3)(iii) of this section to become a limited FFI and if under the laws of each jurisdic- tion that apply with respect to the ac- counts maintained by the affiliate, the affiliate cannot satisfy the conditions of both paragraphs (e)(3)(ii)(A) and (B) of this section.
