Common use of Limited Term Librarian Appointments Clause in Contracts

Limited Term Librarian Appointments. a) The University and the Association recognize that it is in the interest of the University to appoint a person at any of the Librarian ranks where a person’s skill and experience are required only for a limited period of time. b) A limited term appointment may be made at any rank: i) to replace a person who is on leave or who has been appointed to an administrative position at the University; or ii) for a term not exceeding five (5) years, or iii) when the funds from which the holder of the appointment will be paid are non- recurring and from sources external to the University.
