Common use of Line Splitting –Loop and UNE Port (UNE-P) Clause in Contracts

Line Splitting –Loop and UNE Port (UNE-P). 3.2.1 To the extent <<customer_short_name>> is purchasing UNE-P pursuant to this Agreement, BellSouth will permit <<customer_short_name>> to replace UNE-P with Line Splitting. The UNE-P arrangement will be converted to a stand-alone Loop, a Network Element switch port, two collocation cross-connects and the high frequency spectrum line activation. The resulting arrangement shall continue to be included in <<customer_short_name>>’s Embedded Base as described in Section 5.4.3.2. 3.2.2 <<customer_short_name>> shall provide BellSouth with a signed LOA between it and the Data LEC or Voice CLEC with which it desires to provision Line Splitting services, if <<customer_short_name>> will not provide voice and data services. 3.2.3 Line Splitting arrangements in service pursuant to this Section 3.3 must be disconnected or provisioned pursuant to Section 3.2 on or before March 10, 2006.
