Common use of Local Breaker Back up Protection Clause in Contracts

Local Breaker Back up Protection. This shall be provided for each 765 kV and 400 kV circuit breakers and will be connected to de- energize the affected stuck breaker from both sides. 1. LBB and REF relays shall be provided separately from the transformer differential relay. 2. LBB relay may also be provided as a built-in protection function of distributed bus bar protection scheme; however in such case separate LBB relay shall be provided for tie bays (in case of One and Half breaker scheme).
