Common use of Loss of Eyeglasses or Watch Clause in Contracts

Loss of Eyeglasses or Watch. In the event of the loss or destruction of, or damage to, an employee's eye glasses or watch while performing assigned duties, and such loss is not covered by the County's Worker's Compensation policy, the employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of repair or replacement of the item, up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100.00), upon presentation to the Sheriff of a receipt evidencing such repair or replacement. In order to be eligible for such reimbursement, prompt reporting of the loss or damage to the Sheriff is required.

In the event of the loss or destruction of, or damage to, an employee's ’s eye glasses or watch while performing assigned duties, and such loss is not covered by the County's ’s Worker's ’s Compensation policy, the employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of repair or replacement of the item, up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100.00)) for eyeglasses and forty dollars ($40.00) for a watch, upon presentation to the Sheriff Employer of a receipt evidencing such repair or replacement. In order to be eligible for such reimbursement, prompt reporting of the loss or damage to the Sheriff Employer is required.
