Manually unlocking retractors. 6.2.5.1.1. The strap of a safety-belt assembly equipped with a manually unlocking retractor shall not move more than 25 mm between locking positions of the retractor. 6.2.5.1.2. The strap of a safety-belt assembly shall extract from a manually unlocking retractor within 6 mm of its maximum length when a tension of not less than 1.4 xxX and not more than 2.2 xxX is applied to the strap in the normal direction of pull. 6.2.5.1.3. The strap shall be withdrawn from the retractor and allowed to retract repeatedly by the method described in paragraph 7.6.1. until 5,000 cycles have been completed. The retractor shall then be subjected to the corrosion test given in paragraph 7.2. and to the dust test given in paragraph 7.6.3. below. It shall then satisfactorily complete a further 5,000 cycles of withdrawal and retraction. After the above tests, the retractor shall operate correctly and still meet the requirements of paragraphs 6.2.5.1.1. and 6.2.5.1.2. above.
