General specifications. For the purpose of this Regulation, the vehicle shall fulfil the following requirements:
General specifications. 6.1.1. The vehicle, its engine and its sound reduction system shall be so designed, constructed and assembled as to enable the vehicle, in normal use, despite the vibration to which it may be subjected, to comply with the provisions of this Regulation.
6.1.2. The sound reduction system shall be so designed, constructed and assembled as to be able to reasonably resist the corrosive phenomena to which it is exposed having regard to the conditions of use of the vehicle, including regional climate differences.
General specifications. 5.1. The lighting and light-signalling devices shall be so fitted that under normal conditions of use, and notwithstanding any vibration to which they may be subjected, they retain the characteristics laid down in this Regulation and enable the vehicle to comply with the requirements of this Regulation. In particular, it shall not be possible for the adjustment of the lamps to be inadvertently disturbed.
5.1.1. Vehicles shall be fitted with the permanently connected socket outlet specified in ISO standard 1724:2003 (Road vehicles - Connectors for the electrical connection of towing and towed vehicles - 7 pole connector type 12 N (normal) for vehicles with 12 V nominal supply voltage), or ISO 1185:2003 (Road vehicles - Connectors for the electrical connection of towing and towed vehicles - 7-pole connector type 24 N (normal) for vehicles with 24 V nominal supply voltage) or both when they have a connection for attaching trailed vehicles or mounted machines.
5.2. The illuminating lamps described in paragraphs 2.6.8., 2.6.9. and 2.6.10. shall be so installed that correct adjustment of their orientation can easily be carried out.
5.3. For all light-signalling devices, the reference axis of the lamp when fitted to the vehicle shall be parallel with the bearing plane of the vehicle on the road; in addition it shall be perpendicular to the median longitudinal plane of the vehicle in the case of side retro-reflectors and of side-marker lamps and parallel to that plane in the case of all other signalling devices. In each direction a tolerance of ±3° shall be allowed. In addition, any specific instructions as regards fitting laid down by the manufacturer shall be complied with.
5.4. In the absence of specific instructions, the height and orientation of the lamps shall be verified with the vehicle unladen and placed on a flat horizontal surface.
5.5. In the absence of specific instructions, lamps constituting a pair shall:
5.5.1. Be mounted symmetrically in relation to the median longitudinal plane;
5.5.2. Be symmetrical to one another in relation to the median longitudinal plane;
5.5.3. Satisfy the same colorimetric requirements; and
5.5.4. Have substantially identical photometric characteristics.
5.6. On vehicles whose external shape is asymmetrical, the requirements of paragraphs 5.5.1. and 5.5.2. shall be satisfied as far as possible. These requirements shall be regarded as having been met if the distance of the two lamps from the median longitudinal plane and fr...
General specifications. 6.1.1. A vehicle and its electrical/electronic system(s) or ESA(s) shall be so designed, constructed and fitted as to enable the vehicle, in normal conditions of use, to comply with the requirements of this Regulation.
6.1.1.1. A vehicle shall be tested for radiated emissions and for immunity to radiated disturbances. No tests for conducted emissions or immunity to conducted disturbances are required for vehicle type approval.
6.1.1.2. ESA(s) shall be tested for radiated and conducted emissions, for immunity to radiated and conducted disturbances.
6.1.2. Before testing, the Technical Service has to prepare a test plan in conjunction with the manufacturer, which contains at least mode of operation, stimulated function(s), monitored function(s), pass/fail criterion(criteria) and intended emissions.
General specifications. 6.1.1. Each sample submitted in conformity with paragraphs 3.2.2.2., 3.2.2.3. and 3.2.2.4. above shall meet the specifications set forth in paragraph 6. of this Regulation.
6.1.2. The belt or the restraint system shall be so designed and constructed that, when correctly installed and properly used by an occupant, its satisfactory operation is assured and it reduces the risk of bodily injury in the event of an accident.
6.1.3. The straps of the belt shall not be liable to assume a dangerous configuration.
6.1.4. The use of materials with properties of polyamide 6 as regards water retention is prohibited in all mechanical parts for which such a phenomenon is likely to have an adverse effect on their operation.
General specifications. 6.1.1. The exhaust replacement silencing system or components thereof shall be designed, constructed and capable of being mounted so as to ensure that the vehicle complies with the provisions of this Regulation under normal conditions of use, notwithstanding any vibrations to which it may be subject.
6.1.2. The exhaust silencing system or exhaust silencing components thereof shall be designed, constructed and capable of being mounted so that reasonable resistance to the corrosion phenomenon to which it is exposed is obtained having regard to the conditions of use of the vehicle, including regional climate differences.
6.1.3. Additional prescriptions related to tamperability and manually adjustable multi-mode exhaust silencing systems
6.1.3.1. All exhaust silencing systems shall be constructed in a way that does not easily permit removal of baffles, exit-cones and other parts whose primary function is as part of the exhaust silencing/expansion xxxxxxxx. Where incorporation of such a part is unavoidable, its method of attachment shall be such that removal is not facilitated easily (e.g. with conventional threaded fixings) and shall also be attached such that removal causes permanent/irrecoverable damage to the assembly.
6.1.3.2. Exhaust silencing systems with multiple, manually adjustable operating modes shall meet all requirements in all operating modes. The reported sound levels shall be those resulting from the mode with the highest sound levels.
General specifications. The hose shall be so designed as to withstand a maximum working pressure of 1.5 times the working pressure (MPa).

General specifications. 7.1.1. A vehicle and its electrical/electronic system(s) or ESA(s) shall be so designed, constructed and fitted as to enable the vehicle, in configuration "REESS charging mode coupled to the power grid", to comply with the requirements of this Regulation.
7.1.1.1. A vehicle in configuration "REESS charging mode coupled to the power grid" shall be tested for radiated emissions, immunity to radiated disturbances, conducted emissions and immunity to conducted disturbances.
7.1.1.2. ESAs in configuration "REESS charging mode coupled to the power grid" shall be tested for radiated and conducted emissions, for immunity to radiated and conducted disturbances.
7.1.2. Before testing the Technical Service has to prepare a test plan in conjunction with the manufacturer, for the configuration "REESS charging mode coupled to the power grid" configuration which contains at least mode of operation, stimulated function(s), monitored function(s), pass/fail criterion (criteria) and intended emissions.
7.1.3. A vehicle in configuration "REESS charging mode coupled to the power grid" should be tested with the charging harness delivered by the manufacturer. In this case, the cable shall be type approved as part of the vehicle.
General specifications. 3.2.1. Each sample submitted shall conform to the relevant specifications of this Regulation.
3.2.2. Filament lamps shall be so designed as to be and to remain in good working order when in normal use. They shall moreover exhibit no fault in design or manufacture.
