MARIJUANA PROHIBITED. The Hospital prohibits an employee from reporting for work with an illegal drug, including marijuana (which is illegal under federal law and many state laws), in his/her system; this policy applies even where the medical or personal use of marijuana is authorized by state law. An employee reporting for work with an illegal drug, including marijuana, in his/her system is in violation of this policy and subject to discipline under this policy. The Hospital enforces this policy consistently with respect to all drugs, including marijuana, as the law allows the Hospital to do.
