Common use of Materials and Subcontracts Clause in Contracts

Materials and Subcontracts. (i) The Buyer shall determine allowable costs of direct materials in accordance with Part 31 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations in effect on the date of this Contract. Reasonable and allocable material handling costs may be included in the charge for material, but only to the extent they are excluded from the hourly rate. (Material handling costs are comprised of indirect costs, including, when appropriate, General and Administrative expense, allocated to direct materials in accordance with the Seller’s usual accounting practices). The Seller shall support all material costs claimed by submitting paid invoices, storeroom requisitions, or by other substantiation acceptable to the Buyer.
