Meal Break and Rest Breaks. 19.4.1 Employees rostered to work at least six continuous hours shall be allowed an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes at a time agreed between Xxxxxxxxx and the employee. 19.4.2 Timing of the meal break may vary according to Xxxxxxxxx's operational requirements. 19.4.3 Xxxxxxxxx will initiate a conversation regarding the delaying of the meal break as soon as practicable after identifying the potential that the meal break may be delayed. 19.4.4 Employees required to work more than 6 hours without a meal break must be paid double time for hours so worked until a meal break is allowed or they cease work for the day. 19.4.5 Employees will be provided with one ten minute paid rest break after four hours of work. Employees rostered to work eight hours may combine their two ten minute breaks into one twenty minute paid rest break. The timing of the breaks will vary according to Xxxxxxxxx’s operation.
Meal Break and Rest Breaks. ‌ 15.1 Nominated breaks may be taken by Team Members as the need arises during the work day, cognisant of the operational needs of the plant. 15.2 Every Team Member will take a break approximately every 2 hours one of which being a 30 minute unpaid meal break to be taken between the 4th and 6th hour wherever possible with the remainder being paid 10 minute rest breaks. The paid 10 minute rest breaks will also provide reasonable additional travel time to reach the lunch room and to dress appropriately. This will not exceed 20 minutes in total per rest break. 15.3 Wherever possible it is the intention that breaks should be taken at intervals not exceeding four hours.

  • Meal and Rest Breaks (a) The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to organize the work assignment on a shift in such a way as to allow each Nurse to have designated meal and rest break(s) at regular intervals during the shifts. (b) The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that no Nurse will work longer than five (5) consecutive hours without a break, unless mutually agreed between the Nurse and the Employer. (c) Nurses shall be permitted to combine meal and/or rest break(s) where operationally possible. (d) Operational requirements may require that Nurses remain on the nursing unit or within the facility for their designated meal and rest break(s). (e) Where operational requirements prevent a Nurse from having an uninterrupted meal or rest break(s) and it is not possible to reschedule the missed break(s) or a portion of the break(s) during the remainder of the shift, the Nurse shall be compensated for the portion of the missed meal period or rest period, at a rate of one and one-half times (1.5x) the Nurse’s hourly rate for the period of the rest and meal break(s) missed.

  • Meal Breaks The timing of meal breaks on any particular job may be discussed between the Employer and the majority of employees at a particular site and varied by agreement. Occupational health and safety considerations will always prevail.

  • Meal Break Unless there are exceptional and unforeseen circumstances, an employee will not be required to work for more than five hours without a break for a meal of at least thirty minutes duration. Meal breaks will not count as time worked unless specifically provided for in this Agreement.

  • MEAL PERIODS AND REST BREAKS 4.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 4.2 no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being allowed a meal break of not less than half an hour. 4.2 An employee unable to be relieved from work for a meal break shall be allowed to have a meal on duty and this period shall be regarded as working time. 4.3 Except where provided for in 4.2 an employee unable to take a meal after five hours’ duty shall be paid at overtime rates from the expiry of five hours until the time when a meal can be taken. 4.4 During the meal break or rest breaks prescribed above, free tea, coffee, milk and sugar shall be supplied by the employer. Where it is impractical to supply tea, coffee, milk and sugar free of charge, an allowance of $1.48 per week in lieu shall be paid. This allowance shall continue during all periods of leave except leave without pay. 4.5 Rest breaks of 10 minutes each for morning tea, afternoon tea or supper, where these occur during duty, shall be allowed as time worked.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Rest Breaks Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break during each four (4) hours worked. It is the Employer's intention to provide uninterrupted rest breaks.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Rest Break (a) An employee working overtime must be allowed a rest break of 20 minutes without deduction of pay after each four hours of overtime worked if the employee is to continue work after the rest break. (b) Where a day worker is required to work overtime on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday or on a rostered day off, the first rest break will be paid at the employee's ordinary rate of pay.

  • H3 Break The Authority shall have the right to terminate the Contract at any time by giving three (3) Months’ written notice to the Contractor. The Authority may extend the period of notice at any time before it expires, subject to agreement on the level of Services to be provided by the Contractor during the period of extension.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods On completion of not less than three hours work after commencement time or on completion of not less than two hours work after the meal break weekly Employees will become entitled to a rest period of ten minutes duration. Such rest period for pay purposes will be treated as time worked.
