Measurements for Payment. The Engineer shall make due measurement of the work done during the progress of the work and his estimate shall be final and conclusive evidence of the amounts of work performed by the Contractor under, and by virtue of, this agreement, and shall be taken as the full measure of compensation to be received by the Contractor. When requested by the Contractor, the Engineer shall measure, re-measure or re-estimate any portion of the work; but the expense of such re-measurement or re-estimating shall, unless material error be proved, be paid for by the Contractor.
