Mechanical Design. Mechanical design consists of the selection, design, and layout of new pumping system equipment, piping and valving. Mechanical design also covers external protective coatings for buried and submerged metallic pipelines. Contract drawings and specifications for the mechanical work shall be prepared;
Mechanical Design. The strength of insulators shall be such that, when supporting the maximum working load as in service, the factor of safety shall be not less than 2.5. They shall be secured in an approved manner with suitable clamping plates. They shall not engage directly with metal but shall be mounted with suitable interposing materials. Develop conceptual design solution for connection to existing services, heating and ventilating, air conditioning, energy conservation, plumbing, fire protection, special mechanical systems, and control systems. Prepare preliminary load assessments, and identify general space requirements. Review with Princeton University alternate materials, systems and equipment.
