Common use of Medical Withdrawal Clause in Contracts

Medical Withdrawal. Volunteer and Drafted/Assigned Paramedics may withdraw from the service prior to completing their basic commitment or further commitment terms or outside of the stated withdrawal terms only upon submission of satisfactory medical evidence of unsuitability for the Paramedic Service and after approval by the Fire Chief or his designee. Mandatory Paramedics who cannot continue as a Paramedic and require medical withdrawal shall seek a disability pension or are subject to termination.
