Common use of Medically Fragile Children Clause in Contracts

Medically Fragile Children. No bargaining unit member, except an employee hired for that purpose, shall be required to provide custodial care or health services or any act or function constituting the practice of medicine, except in an emergency situation. Appropriate training with regard to health-related services required by medically fragile children will be provided to teachers responsible for educational services to such children, but only to the extent that this training is necessary to protect the well being of the child and only to the extent permitted by law.
