Common use of Member Contribution Clause in Contracts

Member Contribution. 1. The maximum allowance for insurance coverages (other than short-term disability) to be paid by the District, which includes all related costs such as fees, taxes, and assessments, will not be more than that allowed under the Publicly Funded Health Insurance Contribution Act (“Legislative Cap”) or six percent (6%) of the previous year’s maximum allowance (“Contract Cap”), whichever is the least cost to the District. 2. Should the actual cost to the District for said insurance coverages exceed the maximum allowance, it is expressly understood that each Member will be financially responsible for the difference, which will be paid in the form of a Member contribution through payroll deductions. Said deductions will be made on a monthly basis beginning in January. 3. The District will pay up to the Legislative Cap for health insurance coverage, including premiums and contributions to health savings accounts, as well as all related costs such as fees, taxes, and assessments. 4.
