Common use of Meter Inaccuracies and Retroactive Adjustments Clause in Contracts

Meter Inaccuracies and Retroactive Adjustments. (a) If any inspections or tests of the Metering Facilities disclose an error exceeding 0.5 percent, either fast or slow, proper correction, based upon the inaccuracy found, shall be made of previous readings for the actual period during which the Metering Facilities rendered inaccurate measurements if that period can be ascertained. If the actual period cannot be ascertained, the proper correction shall be made to the measurements taken during the time the Metering Facilities were in service since last tested, but not exceeding six (6) months, in the amount the Metering Facilities shall have been shown to be in error by such test. Any correction in xxxxxxxx or payments resulting from a correction in the meter records shall be made in the next monthly billing or payment rendered.
