Metering Responsibility Clause Samples

The Metering Responsibility clause defines which party is accountable for the installation, maintenance, and accuracy of metering equipment used to measure quantities such as energy, water, or other utilities under the agreement. Typically, this clause specifies whether the supplier, customer, or a third party must ensure meters are properly calibrated, accessible for inspection, and compliant with relevant standards. By clearly assigning responsibility, the clause helps prevent disputes over usage data, billing, and liability for faulty measurements, ensuring transparency and accuracy in resource tracking.
