Method of Giving Notices. Any notice, communication or document ("notice") to be given or sent pursuant to the Act, the Articles, the by-laws or otherwise to a Member, director, officer, executive committee member or any other member on a committee of the board of the Co-operative or auditor shall be sufficiently given or sent if: (a) delivered personally or sent by mail to his, her or its latest address as shown on the records of the Co-operative; or (b) except in such circumstances as may be prescribed by the Act, may be sent electronically to him, her or it in accordance with the Electronic Commerce Act, 2000, on such conditions as may be prescribed under the Act. A notice or other document sent by mail by the Co-operative shall be deemed to have been given or sent in those circumstances prescribed by the Act and in all other circumstances shall be deemed to have been given and received on the 5th day following the date of mailing. Any document delivered electronically shall, subject to the provisions of the Electronic Commerce Act, 2000 be deemed to be delivered on the day it was sent electronically.
