, MGO. If a benefit would be available to the spouse of a married employee, or to the employee based on his or her status as a spouse, the benefit shall also be made available to a domestic partner of an employee, or to the employee based on his or her status as a domestic partner. “Benefits” include any plan, program or policy provided or offered to employees as part of the employer’s total compensation package, including but not limited to, bereavement leave, family medical leave, sick leave, health insurance or other health benefits, dental insurance or other dental benefits, disability insurance, life insurance, membership or membership discounts, moving expenses, pension and retirement benefits, and travel benefits.
