Common use of Milestones and Fees Clause in Contracts

Milestones and Fees. (a) Licensee shall pay a patent issue fee of five thousand dollars upon issuance of each U.S. patent COVERED BY this AGREEMENTgr. Such patent issue fee shall only be required for the first five (5) U.S. patents issued. If three (3) or more licensees have rights for distinct and separate fields of use for the same issued patent, at the time the patent issues, the patent issue fee shall be two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500). Each required payment will be paid to Licensor within thirty (30) days of completion of each milestone listed above.
