Military Leave—Long Term (greater. than thirty (30) days) A military leave of absence without pay shall be granted to employees who shall be inducted, or shall, during a declared period of war or national emergency, enlist for military duty with any branch of the armed forces of the United States. Employees on military leave shall be given the benefit of any increments which would have been credited to them had they remained in active service with the school system. The Board reserves the right to give increments or to deny extension of leave to those remaining in military service beyond the compulsory period. Sick leave allowance will be maintained but shall not accrue during military leave.
