Common use of MODIFICATION OF CONTRACT Clause in Contracts

MODIFICATION OF CONTRACT. This Contract may be modified by us in order to maintain compliance with applicable state and federal law. This Contract may be changed or altered only in writing signed by our President or our Secretary. INACTIVE CONTRACT -- We may terminate this Contract by paying you the Account Value, in one sum if prior to the Annuity Date, you make no Purchase Payments for two consecutive Contract Years, the total amount of Purchase Payments made, less any partial withdrawals, is less than $2,000, and the Account Value on or after the end of such two year period is less than $2,000. We will give you 60 days notice to make a Purchase Payment before we take any action. ANNUITANT, OWNERSHIP, ASSIGNMENT PROVISIONS OWNER -- You, as the Owner, have all the interest and rights under this Contract. The Owner is the person designated as such on the Issue Date, unless changed. You may change the Owner at any time. A change of Owner will automatically revoke any prior designation of Owner.
