Allocation of Purchase Payments. The allocation of Purchase Payments is made in accordance with your selection made at the Issue Date. Unless you elect otherwise, subsequent Purchase Payments will be allocated in accordance with your initial selection. Allocation of the Purchase Payments is subject to the Allocation Requirements set forth on the Contract Schedule. If there are Joint Owners, unless we are instructed to the contrary, allocation instructions will be accepted from either one of the Joint Owners. ACCOUNT VALUE PROVISION ACCOUNT VALUE -- Your Account Value for any Business Day is the sum of your interests in the Subaccounts of the Separate Account as of such Business Day. The portion of your Account Value in a Subaccount is determined by multiplying the number of Accumulation Units allocated to the Contract for the Subaccount by the Accumulation Unit Value. ACCOUNT FEE -- We will deduct an Account Fee from your Account Value as set forth on the Contract Schedule. SEPARATE ACCOUNT PROVISIONS THE SEPARATE ACCOUNT -- The Separate Account is designated on the Contract Schedule and consists of assets, which are kept separate from our General Account assets and all of our other segregated asset accounts. The assets of the Separate Account, equal to reserves and other liabilities of your Contract and those of other owners who have an interest in the Separate Account, will not be charged with liabilities arising out of any other business we may do. The Separate Account assets are divided into Subaccounts. The assets of each Subaccount are allocated to an Investment Option. INVESTMENTS OF THE SEPARATE ACCOUNT -- Purchase Payments applied to the Separate Account are allocated to the Subaccounts of the Separate Account. We may, from time to time, add additional Investment Options. You may be permitted to transfer all or a portion of your Account Value to the additional Investment Option(s). However, the right to make any transfer will be limited by any terms and conditions in effect at the time of transfer. If the shares of any of the Investment Options become unavailable for investment by the Separate Account, or we deem further investment in these shares inappropriate, we may prohibit or otherwise limit further purchase of such shares or substitute shares of another Investment Option for shares already purchased under this Contract, subject to obtaining any necessary regulatory approvals. Allocation of Purchase Payments. We allocate Purchase Payments to the Investment Options according to the instructions contained in our records at the time we accept the Purchase Payments at our administrative office. Your initial allocation instructions are on the application. You may change your allocation instructions at any time. Allocations must be made in whole percentages.

If the Issue Date is the Index Effective Date, we also allocate Purchase Payments to one or more of the Index Options according to your Index Effective Date allocation instructions. Any Purchase Payment that we receive before the Index Effective Date that you want allocated to an Index Option, we place in the Money Market Variable Option. On the Index Effective Date, we rebalance your Contract Value among your selected Allocation Options according to your Index Effective Date allocation instructions. After the Index Effective Date, we allocate Purchase Payments to one or more of the Variable Options according to your future allocation instructions. Any Purchase Payment that we receive after the Index Effective Date that you allocate to an Index Option, we place in the Money Market Variable Option. Allocation of Purchase Payments. The Certificate Holder may elect to have each Net Purchase Payment accumulate: (a) On a variable basis invested in shares of one or more Funds in which the Separate Account invests; (b) For guaranteed terms offered in the current deposit period(s) under the AG Account; or (c) In a combination of any of the available investment options. Net Purchase Payments must be allocated in whole percentages. For subsequent Purchase Payments, if no allocation instructions are received with the Purchase Payment, the allocation will be as indicated in the most recent directive from the Certificate Holder. If the same guaranteed term(s) are not available, the next shortest will be used. If no shorter guaranteed term is available, the next longer guaranteed term will be used.

Allocation of Purchase Payments. You instruct Us on how You want Your purchase payments allocated among the available accounts. The percentage of any payment which may be allocated to the Regular Fixed Account is shown under Contract Data. We reserve the right to change this percentage at any time on a non-discriminatory basis with notification. We reserve the right to limit the accounts and/or variable subaccounts to which You can allocate purchase payments or Contract Value at any time. In addition, allocations to certain accounts or variable subaccounts may be limited or required under the terms of certain optional benefit riders, if any, attached to this contract. Purchase payments for each Participant shall be allocated to the General Account or to the sub- accounts of the Separate Account in accordance with the instructions of the Participant or the Contract Owner. We will maintain, in the Variable Account, assets with a value at least equal to the amounts accumulated in accordance with the Variable Account’s applicable agreements and reserves for annuities in the course of payment that vary with the investment experience of the Variable Account. The Variable Account assets are divided into subaccounts corresponding to the Variable Options you select. The Variable Account Value increases and decreases based on Purchase Payments, Transfers, Withdrawals, the deduction of contract fees and charges, and the investment performance of the Variable Options you select.
