Monument Preservation - Pre and Post Corner Records Sample Clauses

Monument Preservation - Pre and Post Corner Records. CSW|ST2 takes monument preservation seriously. As an active member of California Land Surveyors Association monument preservation is a main topic that is discussed on a monthly basis. Monuments are paramount for future retracement of boundaries and are protected per 8771 of the Professional Land Surveyors Act. CSW|ST2 recommends establishing reference point ties to monuments in areas that may be impacted by future improvements of the projects. Pre-construction Corner Records will be prepared. These reference points will be noted and filed on a Corner Record and submitted to the County Survey of Marin for future retracement and establishment of any monument that was destroyed over the course of destruction. If a monument is destroyed that pre construction corner record reference points will be used to reestablish monuments to their original position. CSW|ST2 will re-establish the monument and file a post construction corner record showing the reference points used and a description of the new monument that was set for future retracement. We have provided an allowance of $4122 for pre- and post-construction corner records. It is important to note that this budget item may change depending on the number of monuments that may be disturbed and if a Record of Survey is required. Deliverable Item Pre-construction and post-construction corner records will be prepared on 8.5”x11”and submitted on the appropriate Corner Record form per the Professional Land Surveyors’ Act and Board rules. A signed and stamped TIF version will be provided to the Town for future records and will also be linked to the Marin County Corner Records webpage.
