Common use of New Employees on Probation Clause in Contracts

New Employees on Probation. Each new hire shall remain in a probationary status for a period of not 19 more than six (6) calendar months following the hire date. During this probationary period the District 20 may discharge such employee at its discretion. Probationary employees will remain in their original 21 job assignment for the entire six (6) month probationary period.
