NID to NID Connection. GTE will not require that a separate NID be installed by AT&T in order to make a NID to NID connection. Rather than connecting its loop directly to GTE’s NID, AT&T may also elect to install its own NID and effect a NID to NID connection to gain access to the end user’s inside wiring.
