IT IS AVAILABLE TO ALL STUDENTS FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES AND CASUAL BROWSING. • While using the Internet, students should not access the following: o Any documents containing nudity, violence, drug references; or o Any documents containing terrorist messages, bombing or warfare materials; or o Any documents containing racial, ethnic or sexual slurs; or o Music or entertainment files unless specific to class assignment and only with teacher permission • Downloading of any material from the Internet is subject to prior teacher approval and is limited to school-related projects. • Uploading information, videos or pictures to the Internet is prohibited. • Visiting the following categories of Internet sites is prohibited: o YouTube or other video-related sites o Facebook, Instagram or other social networking sites o Joke or parody sites o Illegal music downloading or sharing sites o Any site containing nudity, pornography or other inappropriate subjects • If these restrictions interfere with a teacher’s assignment or research project, it will be up to the teacher’s judgment to overrule these restrictions for a specific purpose. THE TEACHERS’ DETERMINATION AS TO THE APPROPRIATE OR INAPPROPRIATE NATURE OF A WEBSITE OR COMPUTER CONTENT IS FINAL AND WILL BE ACCEPTED AS SUCH.
