Common use of Noise Level Readings Clause in Contracts

Noise Level Readings. The Company agrees that its’ member Companies shall, if they have not yet done so, have noise level readings taken on all of their vessels. The noise level readings shall be taken in accommodation areas, specifically sleeping cabins, galleys, mess rooms, wheelhouses, and recreation rooms. Such readings shall be taken in accordance with the Standards Respecting Noise Control and Hearing Protection in Canadian Towboats over fifteen (15) Tons, Gross Tonnage. All noise level readings are to be made available to the Guild for inspection upon request. Should the Company take subsequent noise level readings, the Guild will be supplied with copies of findings. Should a Company fail to comply, the Guild may require that the vessel(s) in question be tied up until such time as the readings are taken and shown to the Guild.
