Normal Exit. Unpaid Ticket
1) Upon activation of the AED vehicle detector, AED is armed and displays instructions the customer to present ticket, or displays anther Owner approved message.
2) After unpaid ticket is presented, AED calculates the appropriate parking fee and displays the fee due with instructions to insert credit card.
3) After customer inserts the credit card the PARCS performs credit card authorization and the AED display shows the message “Processing”, or anther Owner approved message.
4) AED displays instructions to remove credit card.
5) Card is removed and the AED produces a receipt.
6) AED displays instructions to remove receipt.
7) After customer removes the receipt the AED sends a signal to the barrier gate, and the barrier gate rises.
8) After vehicle crosses over the downstream vehicle detection device the gate closes and the transaction data is sent to the PARCS server.
9) The ticket is moved from active ticket inventory to inactive ticket inventory.
Normal Exit. Pre-paid Ticket.
1) Upon activation of the AED vehicle detector, AED is armed and displays instructions the customer to present ticket, or displays another Owner approved message.
2) The AED sends a signal to the barrier gate, and the barrier gate rises.
Normal Exit. Validated Ticket
1) Upon activation of the AED vehicle detector, AED is armed and displays instructions the customer to insert ticket, or displays anther Owner approved message.
2) After fee is displayed, a validated ticket is processed at the AED and the appropriate discount is applied to the parking fee due based on type of validation.
3) The display updates to show the reduced fee due.
4) If the entire fee due is validated, then the barrier gate rises and the transaction continues as a normal transaction.
5) If the validation does not satisfy the entire parking fee, continue with normal exit – unpaid ticket instructions.
6) The AED sends a signal to the barrier gate, and the barrier gate rises.
7) After vehicle crosses over the downstream vehicle detection device the gate closes and the transaction data is sent to the PARCS server.
8) The ticket is moved from active ticket inventory to inactive ticket inventory.
Normal Exit. Barcode/QR Code Credential
1) Upon activation of the AED vehicle detector, AED is armed and displays instructions the customer to insert ticket, or displays anther Owner approved message.
2) The AED matches the valid barcode/QR code credential with the proper passback status.
3) The AED sends a signal to the barrier gate, and the barrier gate rises.
4) After vehicle crosses over the downstream vehicle detection device the gate closes and the transaction data is sent to the PARCS server.
5) The credential presence is set to “not in facility”.
Normal Exit. Proximity Card Credential
1) Upon activation of the AED vehicle detector, AED is armed and displays instructions the customer to insert ticket, or displays anther Owner approved message.
2) Patron presents a proximity card to the reader face.
3) The AED matches the proximity card credential with the proper passback status.
4) The AED sends a signal to the barrier gate, and the barrier gate rises.
5) After vehicle crosses over the downstream vehicle detection device the gate closes and the transaction data is sent to the PARCS server.
6) The credential presence is set to “not in facility”.
