Common use of Notice of Price changes Clause in Contracts

Notice of Price changes. In addition to any notification requirements under clause 7.4, if the Distributor makes or intends to make a Price change, the Distributor must: (a) give the Trader at least 40 Working Days' notice of the Price change, unless the Distributor is required by law to implement the Price change earlier, in which case the Distributor must give as much notice as is reasonably practicable; (b) if the Price change will result in an ICP or a group of ICPs being allocated to a different Price Category, without limiting clause 8, the Distributor must give the Trader a mapping table that clearly shows: (i) the new Price Category to which each affected ICP or group of ICPs is to be allocated; and (ii) the Price Category that applied to each affected ICP or group of ICPs before the change was made; and (c) if the Price change is in respect of ICPs that have either a category 1 or category 2 metering installation, the Distributor must notify the Trader of the Price change in accordance with EIEP12.
