NOTIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE; REQUEST FOR HEARING. If an employee decides to administratively appeal a matter specified in Article 9.1, the employee shall, within the below specified time period, notify the Department that the employee requests an administrative appeal hearing. If the last day of the appeal period falls on a weekend or City holiday, such period shall be extended to the next business day. If the employee fails to request a hearing within the prescribed time, the decision of the Chief of Police shall be binding. Requests for an administrative appeal hearing shall be filed as specified below.
