Common use of Notwithstanding Article H Clause in Contracts

Notwithstanding Article H. 1.2, Employees who, as at the date of ratification, are in receipt of a base salary (excluding allowances) which is higher than the maximum of the appropriate grid in Appendix A, will have the higher salary red-circled for as long as that Employee remains in the position he/she held at the date of ratification of the 1999-2000 Collective Agreement.
