Common use of Novation Requirements Clause in Contracts

Novation Requirements. If the Contractor proposes any novation agreement, DHS shall act upon the proposal within 60 days after receipt of the written proposal. DHS may review and consider the proposal, consult and negotiate with the Contractor, and accept or reject all or part of the proposal. Acceptance or rejection of the proposal may be made orally within the 60-day period and confirmed in writing within five days of said decision. Upon written acceptance of the proposal, DHS will initiate an amendment to this agreement to formally implement the approved proposal.
