Common use of Number of Duty Days Clause in Contracts

Number of Duty Days. KSDE-required calendar hours: KG = 465 hrs. Gr.1-11 = 1,116 hrs. Gr.12 = 1,086 hrs. 178 = Total Teacher Contract Days (returning teachers) 180 = Total Teacher Contract Days (new teachers) There will be no less than 5 Teacher Work Days and 4 PDC Days per calendar year. There will be 1 Full Teacher Work Day at the beginning and end of the school year. The other 3 will be at the discretion of the calendar committee. Parent Teacher Conferences will be scheduled on the school calendar. Suggestions for total days within the quarter shall be: Aug13-Oct15 = 42.5 Oct19-Dec17 = 40.0 Jan04-Mar04 = 42.0 Mar15-May14 = 41.5
