To articulate responsibilities and accountabilities across all NSW Health entities for the delivery of NSW Government and NSW Health priorities. • To establish with Local Health Districts (Districts) and Speciality Health Networks (Networks) a performance management and accountability system for the delivery of high quality, effective healthcare services that promote, protect and maintain the health of the community, and provide care and treatment to the people who need it, taking into account the particular needs of their diverse communities. • To develop formal and ongoing, effective partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services ensuring all health plans and programs developed by Districts and Networks include measurable objectives that reflect agreed Aboriginal health priorities. • To promote accountability to Government and the community for service delivery and funding. • To ensure that the CORE Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment are reinforced throughout NSW Health • To ensure Districts and Networks engage in appropriate consultation with patients, carers and communities in the design and delivery of health services. • To ensure that Districts and Networks work together with clinical staff about key decisions, such as resource allocation and service planning.
