Observance (ODOT only). (a) For employees who work Monday through Friday schedules, when a holiday specified in Section 1 of Article 58 falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be recognized as the holiday. When a holiday specified in Section 1 of Article 58 falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be recognized as the holiday. (b) Employees who work Monday through Friday alternate schedules may request to change their schedule to a five-(5) day, eight-(8) hour schedule during holiday weeks to observe the recognized holiday specified in Article 58, Section 1.
