Common use of OBSERVATION/EVALUATION PROCEDURES Clause in Contracts

OBSERVATION/EVALUATION PROCEDURES. Unit members shall be observed and evaluated by their immediate supervisor and/or designee at each school or administrative site according to the following schedule: Probationary Employees: 1st set of two formal observations and written evaluation by November 30th 2nd set of two formal observations and written evaluation by March 1st Permanent Employees: 1st formal observation by November 30th 2nd formal observation by March 1st Final evaluation no later than 30 days before the end of the school year The District shall determine the need for, the type of, and provide the necessary assistance to unit members for the purpose of improving their teaching competencies. If the immediate supervisor determines that a unit member is not performing his or her dutiesin a satisfactory manner according to the standards prescribed by the Governing Board, the immediate supervisor shall notify the unit member in writing of that fact and describe the unsatisfactory performance. The immediate supervisor shall continue to confer with the unit member making specific recommendations as to areas of improvement in the unit member's performance and endeavor to assist the unit member in his or her performance through an assistance plan followed by participation in the Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) program.

The immediate supervisor shall continue to confer with the unit member making specific recommendations as to areas of improvement in the unit member's performance and endeavor to assist the unit member in his or her performance through an assistance plan a Certificated Growth Plan followed by participation in the Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) program.
