Occupational First Aid Level 2 Requirements. (a) The Union and the Employer agree that First Aid Regulations made pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act shall be fully complied with. Where the Employer requires employees to obtain or renew their Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate, the cost shall be borne by the Employer and where applicable, leave to take the necessary courses shall be granted with pay. The College shall make a reasonable effort to grant employees holding Occupational First Aid Level Certificates under this Article leave with pay to attend conventions and local training sessions sponsored by the Industrial First Aid Attendants' Association of British Columbia and the Workers' Compensation Board. (b) A monthly premium shall be paid to employees required to possess a certificate under this Article. The amount of the premium shall be seventy-five dollars ($75) per month for an Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate. (c) The Union recognizes that should no qualified employee covered by this Agreement be available, other employees of the College may be designated for the purposes of this Article.
