Common use of Occupational Health and Safety Induction Course Clause in Contracts

Occupational Health and Safety Induction Course.  All the employees of the Contractor must attend a health and safety induction course provided by the Employer at the security offices before they will be allowed to work on the Site. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure that all employees have attended the health and safety induction.  The Induction course includes an awareness on the Error prevention and Improvement tools and techniques to ensure familiarisation and use of these error-prevention tools/techniques inclusive of, Pre and Post-job briefs, Risk Assessments, Self-checks (STAR principle), Peer Checks, Job observations, Accountability, Effective communications e.g. 3- way, Questioning attitude, Procedural adherence, Hand overs and other.  A list of employees requiring safety induction must be submitted at least 2 days in advance arrival so that the details of the safety and health induction course can be communicated.
